  1. Joan Crawford's is my favorite photo of the bunch! A difficult choice, but my love for convertibles spoke louder this time ;)
    Kisses!

    1. Le,
You have great taste. I love Del Rio in her feathers although that's a pretty small car for her.
      Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Boy my 15-year old Saturn looks pretty sad now that I've seen these monster beauties. I'll make a deal with you, Ms. Page -- give me Sylvia Sidney's Lincoln and I won't go all Joan Crawford on your ... rear... for not answering my email! Hint, hint.

  3. I'm not normally much of a car person...except when it's photos like these! I particularly liked Constance Bennett's Cadillac. Classy! Thanks for posting!

    1. Hi Martin!
I expect no less from Constance. I would assume she had a chauffeur and a couple of butlers to guide her around that huge mansion. Nothing but the best for our stars. : )

  5. Great post Page. I love those sleek cars with their big front grills and big tires. I wish I had one but just the hood ornaments cost a fortune. Keep them rolling Page!

    1. Christian,
I hear ya! I watch the Barrett-Jackson auction every year and just sit in amazement at the prices they go for. They usually sell a few celeb owned cars or screen used autos. Lots of fun!

  7. I can not believe that Clint Eastwood or Sean Connery, would drive such a small cars.

    1. Dawn,
Their cars certainly were cool but a death trap. I try to avoid small convertibles. Other celebs haven't faired so well.

  8. Even without the stars and celebrities in the picture, all the cars look wonderful! Vintage cars do have that elegant and classy look that’s unique to them. They all looked like they were made specifically for royalty. Whenever I see a working vintage car today, I find myself admiring the other person for owning and having a piece of history.

    1. Erwin,
I so agree! The bigger cars like the Phaetons and Packards just ooze success and wealth. What I wouldn't give to have one in mint condition to tool around in.
      Thanks for stopping by!

  9. Clint Eastwood surely had style when he was younger! People in Carmel-By-The -Sea were pretty lucky to see him drive around town in that classic. They must have seen him very close especially if his top down was open.

    1. Hi Timmy! That was when Eastwood was young and cool, not talking to empty chairs. I love the classic cars. It's always fun to see what they tooled around in.
Thanks for stopping by. I'll be continuing this series so stay tuned.

  10. Anita Page was one of my grandma’s favorite actresses in her era. I remember watching a few of her movies with my grandma, and she had always looked stylish. And seeing her ride in one of these photos really says a lot about her style!

    1. Hi Tyra!
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing the info on Anita. She was such a great actress. I can see why she was your grandmothers favorite during that era. I did a bio on her with a lot of photos, her autograph from my collection that's somewhere in my archives in case you want to read more about her.
I hope to see you here again soon.

  11. Clint Eastwood really looked gorgeous when he was young and I still consider him as a good-looking man ‘til now. Haha. You might wonder why I’m talking about him, but he’s really one of my favorite actors in Hollywood. Actually, I have that picture of him with that convertible. Haha! Yeah, it’s quite a shame but it’s true. :D

  12. Lovely actresses, gorgeous actors, and superb vehicles… What amazing photos to look at, eh? I love Constance Bennett’s 1930 Cadillac Roadster! I saw one recently at a vintage car show. It is a two-seater roadster and has some of the sleekest bodywork I’ve ever seen – which adds to quality to its considerable period of elegance.

    1. As much as I love vintage automobiles I'm no expert when it comes to the make and models so I've left it open to any commenter to fill us all in with that info. If you recognize any of the cars in this series then please let me know and I'll be sure to add them. : )
