Good News for My Love Of Old Hollywood

It's time for the Annual CiMBA Awards. The official list of nominees can be found HERE.  I'm happy to announce that two of my articles are in the running. The first in the Best Film Review: Musical or Comedy category for The Women 1939 then the Best Classic Movie Discussion for Have You Ever Slept with the Lights On?.

Thank you to my fellow members who got me this far and now I guess the rest is up to me. Wait, What? Oh, sorry I guess it's still up to you. : )  Congratulations to everyone else on their nominations and the best of luck.  There's some amazing articles written by some very talented bloggers in contention and I'm honored to be in their company.

I'm so excited I could eat my shoe!

  13. Hmmm...I hope you win? Am I sincere? Will I end up one of the poor losers who pastes on a big smile, claps, and thinks unpleasant thoughts? NAAHHHH! Congrats, Ms. Page! It's fun to be in the running!

  15. You deserve all the accolades. You've got a truly fantastic blog. Plus its damn funny too. Hold off on the shoe. If your dentist found out you were munching on leather for even a second you'd never live it down. Still if you did munch on it you could always sell it on EBay.

  16. Dawn,
Thanks so much and for being such a faithful reader here.

    Becks,
I'm starting to picture Ann Baxter in her Oscar acceptance speech during All About Eve. You have nothing to worry about her ya little minx! : )

    CW.
Thanks so much! I've finally finished my shoe. I don't know how Charlie did it. Never buy shoes adorned with sequins and suede.

    Tom,
Thank you, that means a lot. I'm so glad you're enjoying the blog.

Oh, and you really should share your scary movie experience on that discussion thread. My readers would get a real kick out of it.

Coming from the published author in our little group that means a lot to me. I'll be sticking to snark for the most part, I know my place! Ha Ha
