Lets have another quick look back at the stars on set and how they spent their time when not making movie magic.
Mary Astor and Joan Blondell enjoying a conversation and needlepoint between filming.
Ginger Rogers tries out her telescope between takes.
Clark Gable relaxing on the set of "Gone With the Wind"
Tony Curtis and Marilyn Monroe on the set of "Some Like it Hot"
William Holden finding a place to relax and have a chat between scenes.
Bette Davis touching up her makeup.
Boris Karloff having his wraps applied on the set of "The Mummy".
Brian Aherne and June Lang on the set of "Captain Fury"
Errol Flynn looking quite dapper while waiting on set for filming to start.
Joan Crawford getting the feel for the bike (I love how we get a glimpse at how these 'outdoor travel scenes' are done)
Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh on the set of "Houdini"
Donna Reed enjoying a cup of coffee before her long day of filming starts.
Grace Kelly waiting to film on location of "To Catch A Thief"
Gary Cooper getting some direction on the set of "Peter Ibbetson"
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Please feel free to leave a comment.

I just love these posts, Page. If course I am always happy to see my honey, Errol Flynn, in a picture I have not seen before. Boy this is a good one! And you know, I think Joan Blondell is just a knock-out. I understand that George C. Scott thought Joan was the most beautiful woman on screen. Great pics and captions, as always!
ReplyDeleteI forgot, beautiful pics of Tony Curtis. If I ever decided to be disloyal to Errol, Tony is someone who catches my eye!
ReplyDeleteBecky,
ReplyDeleteI thought you might like that one of Errol! I guess he's all yours as long as I can swoon over George Sanders and Cary Grant. I've never been a huge fan of Tony Curtis but I saw an early film with Ricardo Montalban last night and Hubba Hubba, he was gorgeous.
I own the rifle Gary Cooper is holding in the photo above. Any idea where I could get a high resolution copy of that photo?
